Tournament Format

-       Sponsors teams will be split into Two – 2 Man teams (as selected by the sponsors)

-       Teams of 2 Players will be made 

-       Two-man teams will be put into flights of 6 teams (12 Players) 

-       6 flights (of 6 two-man teams will be made) 

-       Flights are designed by total team handicap index (Player A’s Handicap + Player B’s Handicap added together to make the team handicap index) ***We ask sponsors to try and make their two-man teams with-in 10-12 strokes between the two players, but we realize that this is not possible in all cases***

- The two-man teams will play 5 different 9-hole matches in their flight (Two-man best ball, Match Play Scoring (One 9 Hole match against each team in their flight) ***This makes this event so great at players in this event will play with 10 different players during the tournament! 

- The low score on each hole will count for the team score on that hole (Net). The low team score will win a point for that hole. If the low score for the hole is a tie between the two teams the teams will receive ½ a point each.  

- Scoring details:  

o There are 10 points available for each match  

o 1 point awarded to the low score / team on each hole  

o ½ a point for each team if the hole is tied 

o 1 bonus point for the team the wins the match (or ½ a point for each team if the match is tied)  

o The team that has accrued the most points in their flight at the end of all five matches is the flight champion  

o If teams are tied for flight champions the tie breaker is the score of their head-to-head match, 2nd tie breaker is the total points scored on day 3, if still tied, total points scored on day 1, if still tied total points scored on day 2. If still tied we play off with a sudden death playoff on the 18th hole (alternate shot).  

- Flights 1-2 Tee of hole #1-5 

- Flights 3-4 Tee off hole #3-7   

- Flights 5-6 Tee off Hole #5-9   

o Format is a large group Alternate shot horse race shoot out  

o Teams will play alternate shot (No strokes, different tees)  

o Eliminations (Two teams per hole) **5 holes played*** 

o Top two teams from each Derby Race will advance to the finals  

- Derby Finals  

o The two teams from each Derby will meet in the finals (6 Teams)  

o Derby starts on 16 (Flights are separated by Tees Markers) 

o 2 Teams eliminated per hole  

o One team will be the Derby Champion!! 

o Wives are encouraged to watch and hang out!  

- Winner of each flight staring on the 15th hole 

o Format is a large group Alternate shot shootout holes 15-18 

o Teams will play alternate shot (Stroked off the low team )  

o Eliminations (Two teams per hole) **4 holes played*** 

o Winner is crowned on the last hole #18  

o Open bar cart for the final shootout  

o Wives are encouraged to watch and hangout!
